Originally a swimmer, I’ve been on the triathlon scene since 1998. Sadly, the swimming stroke for which I had the least aptitude was the one I needed for triathlon. Undeterred, I have swum, cycled and run through the various triathlon race distances from sprint to ironman with below average performance and above average joy.
I have coached triathlon since 2004, having founded Bristol & District Triathletes . The club serves multi-sport athletes of all abilities, bringing them together with an ethos of inclusivity and enjoyment. As well as serving as Chair, I continue to coach group training sessions and am immensely proud of how BADTRI has developed. In such a solitary sport, the club is the embodiment of the sum being greater than its parts: better together!
My mission is to help people make the most of themselves in sport. The goal is for this to enhance their life, rather than detract from it. Besides endurance and strength coaching, I have taught group exercise classes for two decades. My specialty is indoor cycling, but have experience in all types of moving-for-fitness classes.
